Availability
Who this is for
We work with people located in Virginia. If you are reading this from another state we are not the right practice for you, and it is better to know that now than after you have booked. Where you are sitting during the session is what matters, not where you grew up or where your family lives.
Within the state, distance stops mattering. People book from Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Blacksburg, Harrisonburg, Fredericksburg, Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads as readily as from the two places we keep a presence. An online dietitian is the same dietitian.
The session
How a video session actually runs
A full hour, same as in the room
The first session covers your health and diet history, a normal week of eating and what you have tried before. Video does not shorten it.
Notes come to you afterwards
What you agreed to try is written up and emailed after the session, so you are not taking notes while trying to have a conversation.
A phone call works if video does not. Some clients prefer it and it makes no difference to the session.

Your dietitian
Who you would see
Both of our dietitians take virtual clients. Kelsey Shaughnessy, RDN, founded the practice and is based in the Richmond area. Macie Fuquay, RDN, works from the Roanoke office. Both are Registered Dietitian Nutritionists credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
You stay with the same one throughout. Tell us on the first call which of them fits better and we will sort it out, or we will suggest one based on what you are working on.
In person
Would you rather come in?
If you are near either place, in person is available and costs the same. The Roanoke office is on Pheasant Ridge Road. In the Richmond area we come to you rather than keeping a clinic.
